Frequently Asked Questions—
A few useful questions we're often asked about our service, pricing and process.
Got a more specific question? Feel free to send us an email!
01. What does an interior designer do?
02. When should I get an interior designer on board?
03. Have I left it too late?!
04. Do I need an interior designer if I already have an architect?
Interior designers create spaces that meet the needs and solve the problems of the people in them. We do this by considering the layout and flow, selecting the right the materials and finishes, combining beautiful colours and textures and sourcing the best furniture, fixtures and accessories to create the best possible space for your target tenant or buyer.
The earlier the better! As soon as you have your eye on a property you can come and have a chat with us to create a brief and we would start work as soon as your architect has delivered their structural drawings.
Not at all! It just means a different way of working, we are always happy to support you at whatever stage you're at, and if we can't, we'll say.
Architects focus on the structural elements of the property and creating spaces. Interior designers help you maximise the use of that space.
An architect will generally not specify interior finishes, or will charge extra to do so (unless part of the building fabric), whereas an interior designer will help you select everything from paint colours to shower screens, sockets and everything in between.
05. Can I see more samples of your work?
06. Where do you work?
07. Do you work with other trade professionals?
08. How long will our project take?
Absolutely, you can see some examples of our work in our developer pack which you can download here and if you book a call with us here we would be more than happy to share more examples while we chat.
Everywhere! We are based in London but we have clients UK wide. We do offer site visits but to keep costs down for you we ensure our design packages are detailed, so that with our remote support via phone or email, you shouldn't need us there.
Yes — 100%! We are more than happy to work directly with anyone you put us in touch with including your general contractor and any subcontractors. It often makes it less stressful for you!
This really depends on the scope and size of the project. Allowing for feedback time it generally it takes 8 to 12 weeks to deliver a complete design scheme. However, we schedule our work to fit with your timelines wherever possible.
09. How involved in the process will I need to be?
As much or as little as you like. We love working with our clients and hearing about their goals and inspiration, but we also realise that their time is precious.

At minimum we have 3 set feedback milestones built into our process to ensure you're happy with the way the project is progressing.
10. I'm not sure what I need! Should I wait to approach you?
Don't worry, if you’ve never worked with a designer before and are perhaps unsure of the process, you’re definitely not alone.
We offer a free 30 minute call to discuss your requirements/questions and see if you think we're a good fit for your business before you commit to anything. Our job is to make you feel reassured and confident in the product we create together, so if you're unsure — reach out.
11. What if I am unhappy with your designs?
Thankfully that's never happened! We work in phases and only ever ask for payment once you're completely happy with the output of each phase. This works as a satisfaction guarantee so you know you're never on the hook for the whole contract if you're not happy with our service.
12. What type of projects can you do?
We work almost exclusively with property developers covering mainly residential projects, but do the odd commercial job too! We work across HMOs, Buy-to-Lets, Conversions, Serviced Accommodation and Multi-unit new-build developments.
13. Can you manage the entire project?
Currently we do not project manage. Our design documentation is detailed enough that you are able to pass it to your contractor or builder and they will be able to deliver with minimal questions. We offer site visits if you need us to be on-site for a particular day and with the remote design support we're able to answer questions and solve any unforeseen issues as they arise.
14. How are purchases for the project handled?
Purchases are made either by yourself or your contractor. We provide a full linked specification of everything you need to make your design reality and where we have trade discounts with suppliers we raise a pro forma invoice and pass the discount on to you.
15. Is there a contract?
Yes. After our consultation call we will send you a quote based on your specific property and your goals. If you choose to go ahead with us, we send our T&Cs and a schedule of works detailing everything that we will deliver and when along with payment dates, when you sign this it forms a contract.
16. Will you blow my budget?
17. Do you offer multi-unit/room discount?
18. What are your Terms & Conditions?
No! We talk money upfront so we work within your given parameters — we may reallocate budget, but we never blow it. If we think your budget is unrealistic, we will say.
Yes, multi-unit discounts are built into our pricing structure.
Once we've had an initial call to discuss your project, we will send you a bespoke quote. If you decide to hire us we will share our Terms & Conditions as part of the contract.
